11'0" Single Fin, Nose Concaved, Round Pin Tail, Noserider shaped by Pat O'Hare.
The board continues to get ridden and is great for those silly small days
in the summer where ankle slapper chop can be ridden on my beloved Gulf Coast. And the rest of the
time it's the USS Nimitz catching anything and everything.
Upon a visit to San Diego my buddy Chad Dawson lent me a 9'6" Single Fin to ride down at Pacific
Beach Point. The board worked great and I liked the length and weight and decided a board like that
would be idle for travel. When I returned home Chad got me in touch with Hank Warner, legendary
shaper and the one who crafted the board I rode in San Diego, and had him build me the same shape
only instead of it being a single fin I asked if it would work in a 2+1 (widow maker) fin set
up. Hank said it would. After drawing up the artwork Hank began his magic. A couple of months later the board was sitting in my living room. The 9'6" has traveled with me on several surf trips including a trip to Costa Rica where I surfed it in my first film "Jungle Juice: Surfing Adventure in Costa Rica's Southern Zone" then a brief glimpse of it is seen in my second film "Going With The Flow: Classic California Soul Surfing". In the California film it can be seen sliding at Rincon and under it's crafters hands during his interview. I ride the board as a single and a 2+1. Both have their merrits. The 9'6" continues to be ridden from time to time, used by my son and anxiously awaits it's next watery mission. >
