A single fin pin tail with reverse rocker and glassed heavy keeps Jesse comfortably in the barrel.
Jesse enjoys surfing in local contests as an individual as well as
on teams in coalition club contests. His desire to be involved with the contests is more
for camaraderie than competing as he loves to talk story and surfing with all those involved.
Jesse's surfboard shaping has produced beautiful works of art in large and small sizes. His
philosophy of building boards for the long ride ensures a surfboard which will last through
all situations. He likes to glass his classic style boards thick which lengthens their
longevity and creates a smoother ride. Sure he shapes smaller sticks such as thrusters, eggs
and fish but his love is clearly focused on the classics. Jesse's not planning on mass
producing
his boards but if you're a discriminating surfboard buyer and want a board shaped by someone who puts his
heart and soul into it his sleds should be high on your list.
The surf film star role is one Jesse's been playing for awhile now. He's been in two films
to date,
"Going With The Flow: Classic California Soul Surfing" released in October 2005 and
"Going With The Flow: Surfing Costa Rica's Jungle Breaks" was released in March 2007.
His ability to ooze cool in the films while showing his hot surfing style makes
you want to grab your log and see how you can translate his movements into your own. Talking
about surfing, shaping, social issues comes easily to Jesse which translates smoothly into
motion pictures
