Playa Grande postcard.
through Google Earth I'm fully convinced many gem set ups await those seeking perfection.
I'll be back and will be ready to have a bigger look around next time.
I've been to many other places where the waves were better than what I surfed in Dominican Republic this year but
the overall experience of staying at Ali's/Cabarete Surf Camp together with it's community feel of free thinking,
water minded individuals made this the best surf trip by far. Euphoria happened not the way I planed which is just how I
like it.
Special Thanks: Antonio, Elena, Kiko, Basilio, Nacho, Ali and the staff from Cabarete Surf Camp for everything such as
driving me to the surf spots daily, great service, special hook up's and overall good vibes. I also want to thank all the people I met and spent time with in Cabarete which the trip would not be the same with out you all: James Carden from the Isle of Jersey, UK, Bram from Belgium, Charles from New Foundland, Canada, Dan from the UK, Jonah from Germany, Dillon from Canada, Mike and Sheri from Canada, Tony and Shawna from Montreal, Canada, Katarina, Valerie and the girls from Montreal, Canada, the guy who runs the Encuentro Surf Shop who's from Montreal, Canada (sorry dude forgot your name) and Louisa from Cornwall, UK. God bless and may your lives all be as you want. I hope to one day see each one of you again. >
What makes a good surf trip? Finding euphoria or something like it in the Dominican Republic
